The Hemi Sync Surgical Support Series (Six-CD album)

Medical practitioners are beginning to understand more fully the power of the mind-body connection and its relationship to maintaining wellness or restoring wellness following a trauma such as surgery or a life-threatening disease.

The Surgical Support Series from Monroe Products helps to strengthen the mind-body connection by using the patented, scientifically based and clinically proven sound technology known as Hem-sync.  This remarkable "audio-guidance" technology, supported by more than 40 years of research is now embedded in sources of tapes and CDs.

The audio-guidance process works quite simply by sending different sounds (tones) to each ear by way of stereo headphones.  The two hemispheres of the brain then act in unison to "hear" a third signal- the difference between the two tones.  This is not an actual sound, but an electrical signal that can only be perceived within the brain by both brain hemispheres working together.  The result is a focused, whole-brain state known as hemispheric synchronization, or "Hemi-Sync" - an optimal condition for improving human performance.

The Hemi Sync Surgical Support Series was designed to ease the experience of illness, injury, surgery; chemotherapy, dental treatment and other physical trauma.  By reinforcing the mind-body connection, these exercises help to strengthen the physical and mental components of the total healing process, including:

  • Directing the autonomic body functions to accelerate healing while achieving a reduction in pain and discomfort.
  • Strengthening emotional well-being by assisting individuals to maintain a relaxed, confident, and positive attitude.

The following results have been noted by many using the series:  Lower, but stable blood pressure; Deep relaxation;  Slower, deeper breathing; Less and sometimes no pain medication required during surgery; Quicker return to consciousness in the recovery room; Accelerated recuperation.

If the patient expresses may anxiety regarding the content of an exercise, place the headphones (or a speaker) next to his/her right ear and play the CD in its entirely to dispel any concerns.  The play the CD again with the headphones in place.

Be sure to notify those attending the patient in the operating room, recovery room, and hospital room that the patient may: require less anesthesia for surgery; have lower and stable blood pressure; have slower and stable heart rate; have slower, deeper respiration; experience a quick return to consciousness in the recovery room after the surgery; ask for less pain or sleep medication; evidence accelerated recuperation.
